I know my owl depends on me, hence the having to make the owl feel hunger to fly to me, however I have seen a barn owl that craves human attention, walk near the aviary and the owl is at the wire, let the owl out and it is like a missile, straight to the owner, with or without food. At times, when my owl is fat, it will land on me and groom me, at times the owl doesn't mind being stroked, however a lot of the time the owl hates being touched, it won't foot you, but it will squeal and bite.
