The website is http://www.lostfalcon.co.uk

The lost bird of prey team will try to be with you within 1 hour of you loosing your bird of prey, to help you search.

The Lost falcon center is desperate for sponsorship, in money and advertising, links etc as well as volunteers.

If you can help in any way, no matter how small, if you wish to know more, please visit

http://www.lostfalcon.co.uk

I am willing to help search for lost Owls /Raptors / Birds of prey etc within 20 Miles of Dereham, please use the pm button on the owl forum if you require help in searching for your lost owl etc.

In fact, any pet you have lost within 20 miles of Dereham let me know if you need help looking for it.

Whilst my time looking is free, if you can give a fiver towards petrol then that would be much appreciated.

Atb, Mark

Well, as some of you will know, I attempted to set up a Lost falcon cenre, where if you for arguments sake lost a bird of prey, you could phone a number and have at least one searcher go out to help you look.

On the face of it, there was good response, over 50 searchers in a short amount of time, but it had its problems, as does everything in life. The main problem was that volunteers were not phoning the lostee, so the falconer with the lost bird of prey would phone me, Immediately I would phone a searcher in the area, ( where available ) with instructions to phone the falconer in need to liaise in areas and times to search.

But for some reason, the searchers were not liaising with the stranded falconer, instead were telling me they had searched here, there or where ever, which was no good. The falconer in need had no idea who was looking, where or indeed if the searcher was looking. Time and time again this was happening, every time it brought the idea of the lost falcon center to its knees, the falconers were saying we were not sending searchers out, the searchers were saying they had been out.

I still think the lost falcon center is a superb idea, if the control could be in place. Unfortunately, I do not have the leadership skills to motivate volunteers to do as is absolutely required to get the Lost falcon center working.

If you want to take the Lost falcon center on, the website is still saved, the list of searchers is complete, the domain plus other relevant ones are still active. Obviously I will be very careful who has the database, hence the need to PM me.

Just pm me, with who you are, what your interest is and if you are suitable, I will give you the lost falcon center, with very few conditions. I can even sort the hosting out free.

It would be a crying shame to let this go.
With the deepest regret, Mark
