Working owls, some of us like to keep working owls, by this I mean owls used in public displays, owls used in 'Falconry' (I have used the word Falconry loosely, as time served falconers would shoot me for using the words owls and falconry on the same website). Non the less, some of us use Owls to hunt with.

Basically, if your owl works for its keep, hunts its own meals, thrills crowds etc, feel free to tell us about it here.

Owls

Some of us keep owls as pets, kept either in an avairy, or the house. If you have kept, or are keeping or want to keep an owl as a pet, tell us about it in this thread, tell us what breed of owl you have or the owl you would like to keep, where you keep your owl etc.

Owl mentors? For newbie members that want to find experienced owl keepers, to learn from, to ask questions, to share worries and concerns, regarding the keeping of owls. One of the first answers a newbie is given, when asking for help or advise on keeping owls is, find a local mentor. Well, from experience, mentors are like gold dust, let alone a local owl mentor. For this reason, I ask that if you are an experienced keeper of owls and would love to share your knowledge for the good of the owls and the new keepers, please put your name and area down in a new thread. Likewise, if you are looking for a mentor in your local area, please state your area when asking about owl mentors.

Are you going to a falconry show? Are you flying or showing your owls at a public event? tell us about it here, the more information you give the more interest you will generate, maybe the owl forum could arrange as a forum to meet up at a central falconry show? Get owlies watching your owl displays, post it here.
